Το 2019 ήταν μια χρονιά γεμάτη συγκινήσεις και τρομερά ρεκόρ για τον κινηματογράφο.
Στις 13 Ιανουαρίου 2020 και ώρα 15:00, η Ακαδημία θα ανακοινώσει τις υποψηφιότητες σε όλες τις κατηγορίες.
Η 92η Τελετή Απονομής των Βραβείων Όσκαρ, θα διεξαχθεί στο Los Angeles, την Κυριακή 10 Φεβρουαρίου 2020 (ξημερώματα Δευτέρας για την Ελλάδα).

Η Ακαδημία είχε ήδη ανακοινώσει τον Δεκέμβριο του 2019 τις υποψηφιότητες για 9 κατηγορίες.
